This page describes how the LimitID website behaves. It is written to be honest and specific, and to keep two very different things separate: this static marketing site, and the LimitID demonstrator app.
What this website collects
Nothing, by design. This site is built to be privacy-conscious to match the product it describes:
- No analytics or measurement tools of any kind.
- No trackers, advertising, or fingerprinting.
- No cookies or browser storage are set by this site.
- No third-party scripts, embeds, or web fonts. Styling uses your system fonts, and every image and stylesheet is served from this domain.
- No forms, sign-ups, waitlists, or accounts. The only contact channel is a plain email link.
If you email [email protected], your message and address reach that mailbox so we can reply — that is the only information you would share, and only if you choose to write.
Hosting logs
This site is served as static files by a hosting provider. Like essentially all web hosts, the provider may process standard, short-lived request metadata (such as IP address and user-agent) to deliver pages and defend against abuse. That processing is the host's, not an analytics system we run, and this site adds no tracking on top of it.
The LimitID app is a separate matter
The LimitID demonstrator is a macOS application, not part of this website. Its privacy behavior is documented with the product, but in short, and to avoid any confusion:
- By default the app runs a fully offline demo and makes no network connection at all.
- If you opt in and configure an OpenAI-compatible endpoint that you control, only cloaked text — with reversible aliases in place of sensitive values — is sent to that endpoint. Your real values and the alias → value map stay on your Mac.
- There is no LimitID backend, account, or billing system. The app sends no data to us or to this website.
- Detection is pattern-based and not exhaustive, person-name detection is best-effort, and the app is an experimental demonstrator — not a compliance tool. See the limitations.
Telemetry on this website (there is none) is a wholly separate question from what the app sends to a model endpoint you configure. This site never receives anything the app processes.
Changes
If this site's behavior ever changes, this page will be updated with a new date. Because the site runs no trackers, there is nothing to opt out of.
